Helping women & men, adolescents & children, couples & families

Andrea Sherman, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience.  I work with children, adolescents and adults to enhance self-esteem and body image; develop coping skills to overcome anxiety, depression and loss; help navigate through transitions including new parenting; improve interpersonal skills to foster better relationships.  I believe that you can never have too many people in your life who support you. I am passionate about what I do and I care about my clients.

I combine psychodynamic psychotherapy with cognitive behavioral techniques to explore and overcome stressors and traumas.  I do this by exploring how your history (including experiences, family of origin, etc) impacts how you cope and I give you concrete tools to help you improve your life.  Even small changes can make a big difference.
